Self Defense: City Nightz Shooter Released
A 31-year-old man who was arrested in connection with a shooting incident at a local nightclub in Sedgwick County has been released from jail without charges, according to the district attorney’s office. The Florissant, Missouri resident was initially booked on Sunday for two counts of aggravated battery, but new evidence has emerged leading to his release. The district attorney’s office stated that video surveillance footage analyzed over several days revealed that the man acted in self-defense or defense of a third party, responding to shots fired by two different gunmen within the bar. After his release, the man joyfully reunited with his family, including his young son, who were waiting for him outside the Sedgwick County detention facility.
