France Riots: 3000 Arrested After Unrest Rages

As rioting continues for the fourth consecutive night in France following the tragic shooting of a teenager last week, over 3000 individuals have been apprehended by authorities.

Rioters have torched 2,000 vehicles and damaged over 700 businesses since the start of the unrest. More than 200 police officers have been injured,

Today marks the funeral of Naher M., a 17-year-old whose life was cut short when he was fatally shot by police during a traffic stop in Paris.

President Macron has denounced the violence as “unjustifiable” and is under mounting pressure to declare a state of emergency. In response, the Interior Minister has implemented a nationwide suspension of tram and bus services after 9pm, leading to significant disruptions.
