Victor Wembanyama SPURS DEBUT

Victor Wembanyama’s first appearance in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas on Friday evening may not have made the headlines or filled up the stats, but the 2023 NBA Draft’s top pick demonstrated his presence on the court. Contributing nine points, eight rebounds, five blocks, and three assists in 27 minutes, he played a subtle yet crucial role in the San Antonio Spurs’ 76-68 victory over the Charlotte Hornets at the Thomas & Mack Center. His shooting, however, needs some improvement, with a 2-of-13 performance from the field and 1-of-6 from beyond the arc.
