Post Malone: Tiny Desk Concert

Over its 15-year history, Tiny Desk has seen numerous acclaimed pop, rock, and hip-hop artists grace its platform. Yet, it’s rare to find one as humble and endearing as Austin Richard Post. Whether he’s poking fun at his nervousness, expressing concerns over his vocal quality, or expressing genuine amazement at the incredible band accompanying him, Post gives off the vibe of a fortunate individual who wouldn’t even credit himself for his good luck.

Throughout the show, Post Malone was an absolute delight to witness. And he didn’t just bring his delightful personality; he also showcased some of the most iconic pop hits this century has seen. The set kicked off with “Sunflower,” a record-breaker certified eighteen-times platinum by the RIAA since its 2018 release. Following in its massive footsteps are the 2017 hit “I Fall Apart” and 2019’s “Circles,” both having been certified ten-times platinum. And although “Enough Is Enough” from his latest album, Austin, hasn’t achieved similar recognition yet – it being relatively new – only time will tell its fate.

In essence, this performance is a treat, featuring one of the globe’s top artists belting out some of the most monumental tracks, all beautifully arranged. Even Post Malone seems taken aback by the brilliance of this Tiny Desk gig, and that’s genuine appreciation, not just modesty.
